Este original «ensayo filosófico sobre el cuerpo y la eucaristía» cierra el tríptico que analiza desde la perspectiva fenomenológica la pasión, muerte y resurrección de Cristo. El filósofo francés tiene la osadía de abordar el misterio del ser humano concreto a la luz de tres momentos fundamentales y fundacionales de la vida de Jesús. En su primera obra (Pasar Getsemaní), los temas de la angustia, el sufrimiento y la muerte hacen progresar la indagación; en su segunda entrega (Metamorfosis de la finitud), las categorías de nacimiento y resurrección, comprendida como germinación o renacimiento de la carne, orientan el pensamiento; en esta tercera y última entrega (Las bodas del Cordero), la mirada se detiene en tres aspectos ineludibles de la persona: la animalidad, la corporeidad y el eros o la diferencia sexual. Cuerpo y eucaristía, como realidad y metáfora, llevan a la razón más allá de lo imaginable. En esta navegación filosófica, que conduce hasta el umbral del misterio humano, no se niega el caos que habita en el interior de cada individuo, pero tampoco la posibilidad de alcanzar el encuentro con Dios. No en vano, Dios es quien asume y recapitula la materialidad humana para transformarla, sin confusión, en su divinidad.
