Y lo consigue dilucidando el fenómeno curativo mediante una visión científica holística. Zhang comienza su tesis describiendo, paso a paso, los fundamentos de la ciencia moderna que han permitido su notable progreso científico y tecnológico, pero, al mismo tiempo, señala las carencias y omisiones que han lastrado su desarrollo, entre las que destaca el hecho de que algunas de las visiones más relevantes de la física moderna sobre el espacio, el tiempo y la materia no hayan sido incorporadas ni a la medicina ni a las humanidades. Porque si toda la materia y por extensión el cuerpo es un campo vibratorio inmerso en una complejísima red interactiva, y el fluir de nuestra mente con todos sus pensamientos y emociones ha de ser entendido como una continua corriente de variaciones dentro de ese campo vibratorio, entonces cuerpo y mente ya no constituyen la dicotomía clásica, sino una misteriosa sucesión de formas vibratorias transformándose sin cesar.
